Management Responsibility for Health and Safety at Work: Introductory Seminar for Managers

The basic seminar ‘Management Responsibilities in Occupational Health and Safety’ is currently taking place at our site in Recklinghausen. The aim of the training is to raise managers’ awareness of their key role in occupational health and safety and to provide them with practical tools for their day-to-day work.

We are particularly pleased to welcome participants from our Partenstein location. This exchange fosters knowledge transfer and strengthens the commitment to safe and healthy working practices across the entire company.

The seminar is being conducted by an expert from the BG RCI (German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the Raw Materials and Chemical Industry). The participating team members are gaining comprehensive insight into the legal foundations of occupational safety, as well as the specific duties, obligations, and responsibilities of those in leadership roles.

Key topics include:

  • Management responsibility and duty of care
  • Legal foundations of occupational safety and health
  • Tasks, rights, and obligations in workplace safety
  • Risk assessments and derived measures
  • Creation and application of operating instructions
  • Planning and conducting safety briefings
  • Delegation of tasks and transfer of responsibilities
  • Collaboration with occupational safety stakeholders

Beyond theoretical knowledge, there is a strong focus on practical implementation. Through examples and exercises, our colleagues learn how to effectively integrate safety topics into existing workflows.

At Scholz colour pigments, occupational safety is a top priority. Managers play a crucial role in ensuring that our team members have access to safe working conditions and equipment. They create the foundation for identifying risks early, implementing appropriate protective measures, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Through regular training and professional development opportunities, we are investing strategically in the qualifications of our managers and sustainably strengthening our company's safety culture.
